I have worked with computers since I was 8.  My professional career began in 1997.

1997 - I was hired to teach the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access etc.) to major organizations such as the Toyota Corporation and the City of Los Angeles.

1998 - I was hired as the system, network, and database administrator for a credit card processing company in California.  We had offices in Los Angeles, Woodland Hills (California), Dallas, Chicago, Las Vegas, Canada and Guam.  It was my job to secure reliable, encrypted communication (over the internet) between all sites and maintain every piece of equipment and software it entailed.

2005 to present - Now living in Maine, in addition to the personal, in-home services, I continue remote maintainance of the computers in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, I work part time for Tasman Leather Group in Hartland, and am the IT guy for Pleasant River Lumber in Dover-Foxcroft and their new facility in Ellsworth. I'm responsible for the software and hardware health of dozens of PC's, web servers, email servers, routers, switches, VPN's etc.

I have extensive experience with:
All versions of Microsoft Windows and most anything that plugs into them.
In server environments, I love Linux, Solaris, and OpenBSD.
Much of my expertise lies in network and file security-- permissions, backups, remote access, etc.  I know how to configure and optimize a single computer or a complex network stretching across the globe.

In short, I have broad, intensive experience with most everything network related, just about anything you can throw at me, I can solve.
